The initial plan was implement the project at Bangalore University, but owing to the size of the campus, it was decided that a smaller campus like IISc would be better for the pilot initiative. Depending on the success of the pilot project, the technology will be transferred to Bangalore University, and other universities.
We beleive non-motorised transport like bicycling is best for the community. But does the community feel the same? We talked to over 200 people, including students, staff, and visitors, and their response was extremely positive. People are delighted that this project is being implemented at the university, and many students are eager to see it set up before they finish their term.
